So with all the new innovated apps sweeping the nation, you would assume that Facebook would lose some popularity with today’s youth, but that actually isn’t the case. In fact, Teens are using the platform more than ever. According to a recent November UBS Evidence Lab survey, 65% of Teens admitted to using the platform daily, which is up 6% from 2014.
Surveys Prove Otherwise
Even though Facebook may not seem as popular as other social media icons it still stands tall with the competition. The reason it doesn’t seem as favorable with Teens is because according to Cnet news, Teens believe, “Facebook has become a social network that’s often too complicated, too risky, and, above all, too overrun by parents to give teens the type of digital freedom or release they crave.”
With that being said, among Teens Facebook still ranks as the number one platform, followed by Snapchat, Instagram, and YouTube.
